I think we have a mistake on who Hannah Fowler (2nd) wife of Joseph Lunt
Colby b.19 Oct 1773 is.
We have Hannah Fowler b. 4 Oct 1786 Salisbury, MA d/o Elijah Fowler and
Hannah Abbott
The 1850 census has her age 69 making her born in abt 1781
Hannah (Fowler) Colby died 17 Oct 1757 [76y 9m 12d] This would make her
born abt 5 Jan 1781
There is a Hannah Fowler b. 5 Jan 1780/1 Salisbury, MA d/o Robert Fowler and
Molly Lowell
Robert Fowler b. Jan 21 1760 s/o Enoch Fowler and Ann Goodale.
This Hannah Fowler b. 5 Jan 1780/1 Salisbury, MA d/o Robert Fowler and Molly
Lowell is probably the wife of Joseph Lunt Colby.

Wrong guy, Ebenezer's son died in abt 1885
Henry Milton Colby cemetery record says he was 25y 11m 10d making him born
about 22 Apr 1851. From census info it says he was born in New Hampshire.
New info has came to light which suggest this Henry Milton Colby is the son
of Henry Colby and Thankfull Kelsey of Claremont, NH.

Invitations have been issued by Mrs. Henry Francis Colby, to the marriage of her daughter, Eleanor Thresher Colby, to Edward Robert Little, on the evening of Thursday, October 24, at the family residence, No. 340 West First street, Dayton, Ohio. Miss Colby's father for many years was identified with Denison as the popular president of the Board of Trustees and her four brothers were graduates of the institution and members of Sigma Chi fraternity. Mr. Little was a student here and was also a member of Sigma Chi. Hence Granville's interest in the young couple who will be at home after the first of January at No. 93 Hayne avenue, Detroit, Mich.

Orrin Tether Colby
Beloved Husband and Father
Orrin Tether Colby was born May 16, 1914, in Sigurd, Utah, to John Henry and Bertha Maria Lazenby Colby. He passed away October 2, 2008, the last of his parents' children. His father died when he was not quite 8-years-old, so he grew up working hard. He had absolute love and respect for his mother.
He was a perfect example of patience, integrity, honor, and respect. He took great pride in his family and loved each of his children and grandchildren for their own individual traits and abilities.
Orrin fell in love at first sight upon meeting Maurine Winget. They were married in the Manti Temple November 15, 1937. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2008.
He was totally devoted to his family, especially to his sweetheart, Maurine, to whom he was always kind. He has often said, "I sure love that woman."
Orrin had an unwavering testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, as demonstrated in every aspect of his life and through his dedication and service. His formal Church service began as a Scoutmaster when he was 17 (just a little older than the boys in his troop). He has served in many capacities, including two bishoprics, ward clerk in at least two wards, Sunday School superintendent, on the high council of Pioneer Stake, and as high priest group leader for many years. He was a temple ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 14 years. He loved and honored his country and served in the Utah National Guard.
He was happiest when out in nature, as shown through his love of farming, fishing, and oil painting.
Orrin could do anything. He worked at the Bingham Copper Mine during the War years, then bought some property in Manti where he farmed and worked for Manti City Power. He was finally able to purchase the ranch on Lost Creek, east of Sigurd. The ranch was his lifelong dream of paradise. In 1958, he had to sell the ranch and went to work for Garkane Power in Hatch, Utah, then for Utah Power & Light in 1959 in Moab. He was transferred to various locations in the state, ending up in Salt Lake City where he retired as a Journeyman Lineman in 1979.
He is survived by his five children, Orrin Tether, Jr. and JoAnn Colby of Salt Lake City; Lorraine and Ronald Barton of St. George; Linda and Clyde L. (Lee) Hone, Jr. of Riverton; Evelyn and Steve Baugh of Pleasant Grove; and Stanley and Charlotte Colby of American Fork; 30 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Henry J and Boyd; and sisters, Matilda Green, Selda Hatch, and Melba Colby.
Funeral services will be held at the Poplar Grove Ward, 1401 W. 700 S., Salt Lake City, Utah, on Sat., Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. Viewings will be one hour before the services at the ward and on Fri. evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Interment also at Redwood Memorial Estates.
We are so grateful to the staff at Brighton Gardens and Hospice for Utah for their great kindness and capable care. We are also extremely appreciative of the loving service and friendship of the members of the Poplar Grove Ward.
