Andrew P. Colby Sr., husband of Virginia (Grace) Colby, of York, died July
25, 2002 at the Harbor Home.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10 in the First
Parish Congregational Church, 180 York St., York. A reception celebrating
his life will follow in Moody Hall next to the church.

Andrew J. Colby
BINGHAMTON - Andrew J. Colby, 77, passed away Dec. 19, 2001.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dora Jane Colby, Binghamton; two
daughters, Deborah Neiss, Chenango Forks and Andrea Keenan, Plymoth Mtg.,
Pa.; four grandchildren; and several cousins.
He was a graduate of Oneonta High School.
He served 21/2 years in the U.S. Army during World War II. He also attended
the Birritz Army University in France.
He graduated from Nework School of Fine Industrial Arts, N.J.
He was employed as a display designer for Bresee's Department Store and
NYSEG before retiring.
A funeral Mass will be held on Dec. 28, 2001, at 11 a.m. at St. Catherines
of Siena, Hillcrest.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to charity of your choice.

Funeral: 10 a.m. today at White's Funeral Home. Burial: Ash Creek Cemetery

David Eugene Colby was born Dec. 3, 1943, in San Angelo. He passed away
unexpectedly at home. Mr. Colby graduated from San Angelo Central High and
was a loyal employee of TU Electric of Fort Worth for the past 15 years.
He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather, and a dear friend to
all.
Survivors: Wife, Rhonda Colby of Azle; sons, Douglas Colby and Christopher

CLAREMONT -- Lila T. Colby, 90, of Briar cliff Manor, N.Y., died Monday
(Feb. 10, 1997) at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Colby had resided in
Briarcliff Manor for more than 60 years. She was an active volunteer for
many organizations including Phelps Memorial Hospital, Caramoor Museum
Historic Hudson Valley and the Girl Scouts. Mrs. Colby was a parishioner of
the Briarcliff Congregational Church, active in many committees, was
president of the Women's Society and a deacon. She was born in Hull, Mass.,
on Jan. 26, 1907, the daughter of Fred Ezra and Margaret (MacEachern)
Thoday. Mrs. Colby attended schools in Boston, Mass. In 1928, she married
Carroll Burleigh Colby of Claremont. He died on Oct. 31, 1977. Survivors
include one son, Fred M. Colby of Briarcliff Manor; one daughter, Susan C.
McKanna of Briarcliff Manor; one granddaughter; and one sister, Welthea B.
Thoday of Concord, N.H. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday
in the Mount View Cemetery in Claremont with the Rev. Mary Elizabeth Scales,
pastor of Claremont First Congregational Church, officiating. The Stringer
Funeral Home at 146 Broad St. is handling the arrangements.

Red Cloud resident Orral C. Colby, 83, died Sunday, April 20, 1997, at Heritage Care Center in Red Cloud.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Simonson-Williams Funeral Home chapel in Red Cloud with the Rev. Al Trucano officiating. Burial will be in Riverton Cemetery at Riverton.
Mr. Colby was born Sept. 27, 1913, to Clarence and Minnie (Moser) Colby in Franklin County north of Riverton. As a small boy he moved with his family to Gillette, Wyo. They later moved to Denver. They returned to Riverton where he attended high school. On Sept. 24, 1932, he married Hazel Montey in Mankato, Kan. They farmed near Riverton. He also operated heavy equipment for land construction. In 1943 he and his wife purchased a farm northwest of Inavale in Webster County. In 1983 they bought a home in Red Cloud. They continued to maintain the farm.
Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Alta Colby of Inavale; two sons, Melvin of Lansing, Kan., and Larry of Rock Spring, Wyo.; one brother, Delmer Hoyt of Shingletown, Calif.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Betty M. Colby
Betty M. Colby, age 78, of Canton, OH, passed away Tuesday afternoon (April 17, 2001) in the
Country Lawn Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born in Akron, OH,
on May 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Lovina
Bowermaster. She had lived most of her life in the Canton area and was a
retired employee of General Electric Credit Co., retiring in 1983 after 20
years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Colby, who
passed away Nov. 10, 1989 and also by a sister, Madeline Arnold. Survivors
include her daughter, Cynthia Jacobs of Canton and her son and
daughter-in-law, Randy and Estella Colby of Loveland, CO; her brother, Jim
Bowermaster of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren and their spouses,
Patrick Jacobs and Stephanie, Shannon Jacobs-Lippert and Robert, Jennifer
Calhoun, all of Canton, Sean Jacobs and Elizabeth Shimp of Massillon and
William Colby and Kate of Loveland, CO; 11 great-grandchildren. There will
be no services as her wishes were to be cremated. The Reed Funeral Home is
in charge of arrangements.

Madeline P. Fuller
CONTOOCOOK - Madeline P. (Colby) Fuller, 82, formerly of Main Street,
Contoocook, died Nov. 25 1998 at the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton, Vt.
She was born in Warner and lived in Contoocook until she retired to
Edgewater, Fla. She lived in Barton, Vt., for the past two years.
She was the daughter of the late Addison and Elsie (Morton) Colby. She was
predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Perry, who died in Nov. 1995, and by her
husband, Robert Fuller, who died in Dec. 1992.
She was a member of the Countryside Community Church.
She is survived by two sons, George Irving Fuller, of Vermont, and Robert
Byron Fuller, of Bridgeport, Conn.; two sisters, Jeannette Smith of
Manchester and Brattleboro, Vt., Elaine Emerton of Goffstown; one brother,
George Colby of Merriata, Calif.; four grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Countryside Community
Church in Contoocook. The Rev. Lafayette Pinckney will officiate.
Burial will follow in Contoocook Village Cemetery. Donations may be made to
the Alzheimer's Vermont Chapter, c/o Maple Lane Nursing Home, Box 500,
Barton, Vt., 05822.
The Holt Funeral Home of 825 Park Ave., Contoocook is in charge of
arrangements.

Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" Colby, 82, of Silver City died Sunday (Aug. 13,
2000). Memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Episcopal Church
of the Good Shepherd. Survivors include her husband, Bill; two daughters,
Peggy Colby Doll and Wendy Beserra; and six grandchildren. She was an
assistant librarian at the New Mexico Western College. Donations may be made
to the Peggy Colby Memorial Fund, c/o Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd,
Seventh & Texas Streets, Silver City, NM. Funeral arrangements are by Bright
Funeral Home.

Ruth Colby
Ruth Brown Colby, 78, Mission, Texas, died of a heart attack, Wednesday,
Aug. 9, 2000, at her home.
She was born March 24, 1922, on a farm near Stockport, the daughter and step
daughter of Ira L. and Donna Vancine Brown of Fairfield.
She lived many years of her life in Fairfield, Burlington and graduated from
high school in Fort Madison. She also accompanied her husband, Craig, to
many foreign countries while he was with the Air Force. When they retired
they moved to Mission, Texas and made it their permanent home. She was also
the person that helped get the "Smoke Piercing Camera" for the fire
department.
She is survived by two daughters, Karla Robinson, Chicago, Ill. and Anita
Bywater, Daleville, Ark.; one brother, Dwight "Bud" Brown, Clive; five
grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held Saturday, Aug. 12, in Mission, Texas. Burial will be
in Spencer Cemetery, Stockport.

Marjorie B. Colby
MORRO BAY, Calif. - Marjorie B. Colby, 69, Morro Bay, died March 4 1997 at
the home of her daughter in La Verne, Calif.
Born March 20, 1927, in Lancaster, she was employed in the food and beverage
industry and established her own housekeeping business. She was an
accomplished artist.
Survivors are a son, Donald Jones, Cincinnati; two daughters, Cynthia Caskey
of La Verne and Dana Francis of Morro Bay; three sisters, Irene Lathrop of
Parksville and Opal Jackson and Stella ``Micky'' Morris, both of Danville;
three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services are private.
Memorials may go to Hospice Cheer, 4032 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 305, Los
Angeles, Calif., 90010.

Irwin W. Colby, age 96, of Chief Lake, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 12,
1999 at Spectrum Health East, Burn Unit in Grand Rapids. There will be no
visitation or services.
