Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I want to thank everyone for the great response I received at my request!

Hi again Sheila,
For William, I have his wife as Eliza Clarisa Eddy and his mother as Sarah Ann Pettigrove. Is this different than what you have?
William & Eliza were my great-great grandparents. How do you fit in?

William Colby was the grandson of Mehitable Corliss and Jacob Colby. William's father was Johnathon Corliss Colby. His mother was Eliza Clarisa Eddy. I guess we have a connection! Tell me more!

"Have never found anything about Eben's parents, but believe they
lived in Derby, NH, I remember seeing a photo of the Colby house in NH."
I will ask him if he can find that picture and make you a copy.

I'm trying to get some pictures of homes that were once occupied by or built by Colby's.
Preferably pre 1900.
I would like to add old Colby homes on my web site.
If anyone has some they would like to share with me I would greatly appreciate it.
Ron
Time for a precautionary warning.
Scamming the genealogy community seems to be alive and well. I think the
reason it thrives is because on the whole the genealogy community is so
helpful, into sharing etc. and we tend to trust others into genealogy.
The International Blacksheep Society of Genealogists has posted a Genealogy
Hall of Shame. Take a look at
http://blacksheep.rootsweb.com/shame/promises.htm#angies
This is a good page to bookmark, place on favorites, put in a file or
however you handle URLs for pages of interest.
