Subject: Colby/Charbonneau
I'm researching my Colbys, who changed their name from Charbonneau, all from Quebec.
My Colbys settled in Holyoke, MA during the mid 1800's. Some changed their name, some didn't.
My Grandmother was Georgiana Colby, her father was Medius, who married Ellen (Nellie) Delaney, from CT. She died, giving birth to her fourth child, John, and Medius remarried a Georgiana Collins. She was also from Canada.
If anyone has even a hint that there may be a connection between my Colby's and theirs please let me know. I have lots more information, which I will be happy to send on.

I sent a message on the 8th, re: Colby/Charbonneau
