Hi all;
I have run across some conflicting information in the New Hampshire Marriage
Index.
Hope someone can shed some light on this.
John Colby married a Martha Moody.
This John is said to be:
John Colby b. 5 APR 1833 NH s/o John Colby and Nancy Tuck.
John is said to have been married twice.
First: 8 NOV 1858 to Hannah J. Robie
Second: 24 OCT 1861 to Martha Moody
Family information says this Martha was married to Francis Moody first and
her surname is Page.
Dob for Martha Page is given as 16 OCT 1833
>From the New Hampshire Marriage Index.
COLBY, John Age: 22 years Marriage
Wife: Martha MOODY Age: 28 years
Marriage Date: 24 Oct 1861 Recorded in: Birth and Marriage Index for New
Hampshire
Source: FHL Number 1000976
The dob for John in the marriage index would be 1839.
And for Martha 1833
>From this I can only suspect we have Martha married to the wrong John.

That interesting item was just for sale on ebay last month and the present
seller is the one who bought it for $232.50. Yes you are right. It is an
interesting item. But it also has a fixed price. Good luck.
