My grandfather was Arthur Colbourne, Edwin Beadon's younger brother. Their father as you probably know (my great-grandfather) was Josiah Colbourne. My father was Edwin (Win) Josiah Colbourne, born at Twillingate. He died at Stephenville, NL, in 1958 at age 55. My mother was an Anstey from Twillingate. I was also born at Twillingate and now live in Ottawa.
I am in the process of compiling a Colbourne Family History - over 200 pages so far, and trying to include as many of the Twillingate Colbournes and their descendants as possible. I would appreciate it if you could send me any information you have on the descendants of Edwin Beadon Colbourne, birth, marriage, death records etc.
Tell you mother that I have traced the Colbourne back to 1623 and have a lot of information on the first Colbournes to arrive in Newfoundland in 1783.
Let me know what information you are missing and would like to have. I do have your your grandfather listed in my data base but did not know that his first name was Arthur. And, I do not have any info on who his wife and children war etc..
You can reach me at deniscolbourne(a)rogers.com
