Hello cousin, here's how we connect. G1 James Colbourne and Mary Humphries G2 Thomas Colbourne and Josephine Lacroix
G3 John Colbourne and Eliza Dupuis G4 Donald Colbourne and Loreena Soucie G5 Michael Colbourne and Nancy Black G6 ME
>From what is known Thomas had two wives in his lifetime, one in the south and one in the north. While in the south the family was wealthy the northern part of the family was not. My grandfather remembers going to the Colbourne house on Young Street in Toronto and being greeted by a butler. I do know that he converted to the Catholic religion to married Josephine. The Mattawa side of Colbourne's were not well off. I've heard many stories about my great grandfater John and his brother Edward ( Uncle Eddie). Please contact me at r_mantha2(a)hotmail.com
Ann
