Hello,
I am interested in Wash COLBERT. This is possibly my husband's 4th great grandfather.
Here's what I know:
Wash COLBERT d 7/19/1899 (no location)
info from a researcher's Family Bible
Pearlie (poss wife of Wash COLBERT d 4/27/1899 (no location)
info from a researcher's Family Bible
Their son, possibly, George COLBERT m Caroline WELLS whose daughter, Matilda Evaline COLBERT (1852, IL or Ohio -- 1906, Wyatt, Mississippi Co., MO) m Samuel Lemuel "Velvet" DUTY (1848, IL -- 1933, KY) my husband's second great grandparents (info on Matilda and Samuel from his Family Bible)
This Bible also lists the info:
The births of Samuel, Matilda Evaline, Alice, Missouri E., Thomas A., Nancy E., Leona C., Tabitha J., Hattie G., Annie M., Allie, and Laura DUTY.
It lists the marriages of Missouri, Alice, Ellen, Tabitha, Hattie, Annie, and Allie DUTY.
It lists deaths of Thomas A. DUTY, Pearlie and Wash COLBERT, Virgil Lee RICHARDSON, Samuel Edward MANSAKER, Clyde RICHARDSON, Violet RICHARDSON, Gussie L. GRIFFITH, Matilda Evaline & Samuel Lemuel DUTY, Laura GREGORY, Tennie Keen and W. M. RICHARDSON.
I also located this info:
notes found on the Hoss-Jointer-Dever Cemetery by Elsie Cope in 1977;
Sec 33, Twn 48 N, Rng 3 W Warren County, at New Truxton, MO on the Lee RITCHERBERG, farm near New Truxton. It is sitting back in the field North and West of his home. It contains between 1/2 and 1 acre of ground that is fenced with barb wire. On April 4, 1977, Johnny DEVER, son of John and Grace COPE DEVER said there is a Wash COLBERT stone lying along East fence of the cemetery. He also said that the farm that Johnson's now live on along Camp Creek was a JOINER farm, then HACH'S had it and later sold to JOHNSONS. He also said Mrs Bob ASHTON of Warrenton is a BECK.

Apparently Charles HOSS m as his fourth wife, Mrs. Elizabeth MABRY COLBERT.
Would anyone have any information pertaining to these details?
Thanks,
Linda Cashen Gaunt
