Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

OBITUARY [probably from The Johnstown "Tribune"]
JOHN E. COLBERT DEAD.
Former Resident of Johnstown Expires at Home of His Son in West.
Word has just been received here of the death of a former Johnstowner,
John E. Colbert, aged seventy-seven years, one month, and twenty-one days,
who passed away last Sunday [5 May 1911-ed.] at Rutland, N.D. His death
was due to pneumonia. The deceased was born in the State of Virginia and
came to Johnstown in 1852. His wife, Lucinda Marsh Colbert died in Johnstown
in 1907. Mr. Colbert was one of the pioneer employees of the Cambria Iron
Company, going to the West to join his sons three years ago. He is survived
by two sons, James and Harry Colbert, both of Rutland; two brothers, William
Colbert of the Twenty-first Ward and Otha Colbert, of West Taylor Township
and by three sisters - Mrs. Helen Wonderly of Dale, Miss Tillie Colbert
of Tanneryville, and Mrs. Ellen Van of the Twenty-first Ward. Mr. Colbert
was a life-long member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
