Pat...The e-mail is bshell(a)chartertn.net if you want to send info...As for the COOPER line i do know there were several Cooper's in the same area, and James Shell..son of Andrew and Emaline Gourley Shell of the Carters Depot area married Martha Cooper for his 1st. wife..James Shell B-3-1-1845 D-8-16-1931 in Piney Flats, Tenn...married 2nd. Ellen Upchurch..she also died in 1931...James and Martha's children were living in Bristol, Tenn. in 1900 with their grandmother Martha Cooper..thats about all i know of the Coopers....The Alfred Shell you mentioned died in Unoci Co. Tenn. if i am correct...since this is the Shell creek Shell's i am drawing from memory....for almost 20 years now i have tried to connect the Shell creek Shell's to my line of Andrew Shell..son of Arnold Shell who settled near Bluff City in Sullivan Co. Tenn. in 1778 but no luck..so i don't keep much on the Shell creek folks...Lorena Eakers who has done several books on the Shell's cannot find a connection !
either....be glad to hear from you again...Bob Shell.

The Shell family information that I have seems to directly involve the Alfred Shell family, as well as the Daniel Shell, Jr. family. It is not too much but if you will send me your email, I will send you what I have. The letters are dated 1867 and 1894 that reference the Alfred Shell family. Also, Daniel Shell, Jr. was married to Paulina PERKINS who was the daughter of Esther Perkins. I am related through the PERKINS line, directly, by two of Esther Perkins' brothers.
If I am reading correctly both Alfred Shell and Daniel Shell, Jr. were the sons of Daniel Shell and Mary MILLER Shell.
I may also be related to the SHELL family through the COOPER family and that is the puzzle that I am trying to unravel. I look forward to exchanging information

My great-grandfather was John Wesley Shell and Emma Combs, s/o Franklin Dugger Shell and Nancy Caroline Shoop (Shupe), s/o George Shell and Sarah Dugger, s/o Daniel Shell and Polly Miller. I would be glad to exchange any information. I would especially love to have copies of any letters associated. My father lived with his grandparents (John Wesly Shell and Emma Combs) when he was a young boy and remembers him well. John Wesley died in 1940 and is buried in Bethel Cemetary, Watauga County NC. Franklin Shell died in 1892 . I do not have the dates on Daniel Shell or George but I'm sure my father may them. I believe Daniel is buried in Richardson Cemetary at Shell Creek, TN. Would love to exchange any information. Copies of any letters would be wonderful! Look forward to hearing from you.

Email the above address. They have posted the information on Ancestry World. I went to Ancestry.com and typed in Alice Bell Kennedy and found the page.
It lists the father as Julius A. Kennedy and mother Julia Jane Bishop. Children are listed on that page.
Get back with me if you have a problem finding it. You will have to put Alice and Bell in the first name box then Kennedy in the last name box. There is no place for the middle name.
Who are your Kennedy's? My lines descends from the sister of Nancy Harbison Colbaugh. Her mother was a Kennedy. I have information on Martin A. Kennedy of Meigs/Mcminn county.
