I just sent a reply, don't know if it went through. I will repeat my request here, as I see you have been on recently. My grandfather is Ellis Buxton, son of Dew and Cynthia Coker. John Coker and Roseline Snoddy are my great great grandparents. Do you have any paper proof of the names of the parents of Roseline Snoddy? We know her dad is (John)
Andrew Snoddy, but never got her on a census record with them, due to the age and the 10 years apart of census. Any help on Roseline Snoddy will be appreciated.

Rhonda, if you are still searching for clarification on John Coker and Roseline Snoddy send an answer. They are my great great grandparents and I do have lots of info. I am still searching for a public record that shows the parents of Roseline. Anything else, I may be able to help you, not sure.

Sorry to be so long in searching this site again. I need to know what you are looking for with Dew Buxton. I know your family, as they are my cousins. I have lots of info on the family but can only search for the exact thing you need. I have never learned the name of Dew's father, though many have their belief. I want to be sure before I put a name for the man. I a still searching for definitive proof of Andrew being Rosaline Snoddy's dad, which is Cynthia Coker Buxton's line.

Believe he was John C. "Jack" Coker born 26 Oct 1889 in Titus County? He was not James Calhoun Coker born same approximate time in Lamar County. There are several trees on his J. C.'s family but none indicate knowledge of his demise! He had five siblings that survived childbirth and there are four Texas Death Certificates supporting kinship. The fifth sibling died in Yuma, AZ. I believe he was John Calvin Coker does anyone have any J C COKER who married Estelle Edington around 1920-1921.
Please help me?

Hello - My name is Michael and I am researching my family history. Unfortunately my grandmother born Rose Maxine Coker - born 4/12/1924 in Laurel Mississippi - was adopted as a baby from a couple in Osceola, Florida. We have no idea who her biological parents were and she refused to speak of them when she was alive. She was of Native American descent and most likely French Canadian or Cajun. The only thing she would mention was Texas and Kings ranch. We are reaching out to people who might be able to help us figure out this mystery. I cam across your posts on Ancestry.com.
Does any of this ring a bell? Any knowledge of a child that may have been given up for adoption in the Coker family? I appreciate your time.
Best,
Michael
