William & Elizabeth (Goforth) Coker can be found on the 1840 Census for Carroll County, ARK. They likely were missed by the 1850 Census. They married on 26 October 1833 in Greene Co., MO.

Who were the parents of Elizabeth Coker who married Enoch Smith? [Their daughter Parolee Smith married James Thacker (b about 1852 in Autauga Co. AL)]
Who were the parents of Mary Eliza Coker who married Isaac R. Thacker? [They were the parents of James Thacker (who married Parolee Smith) and Francis Marion Thacker (who married Nancy Elizabeth Kemp in 1866 in Autauga Co. AL).
Here is the family of Isaac R. Thacker (who married Mary Eliza Coker) in the
1860 census (when the family lived at or near Kingston in Autauga Co. AL):
I R Thacker 37
Elizabeth Thacker 30
Francis Thacker 13
William Thacker 11
Laura Thacker 16
James Thacker 8
John Thacker 4
Some of these families and their descendants lived in Chilton Co. AL and Bibb Co. AL (as well as Autauga Co.
AL), while others went to Texas ("GTT"). Where did
these COKERs come from? Who was the progenitor of those
COKERs in central Alabama?

I have been researching the Coker family for one of Isom, Jr.'s sons and have quite a bit of information. We discovered that Isom's daughter was confused regarding her father's mother. She just remembered hearing she was named after her grandmother Tabitha Jane and just assumed this was her paternal grandmother. It turns out she was her maternal grandmother. Isom's mother was Cora. Unfortunately, now his obituary is incorrect and has caused a lot of confusion. Anyway, I have the marriage records of James and Rachel, Isom and Mahala and Isom and Cora. I also have quite a few obituaries as well as a copy of the article regarding Edward Coker's death. I will be happy to help you with anything I can. Do you have somewhere that I can contact you other than a public board?

Bobby: Please tell me wher eyou got that info on Dicey, my family has been trying for years to establish who our Dicey Coker was. We did not know her fa was a Yoakum or mom a Coker, she simply used the name of Dicey Coker on her marriage to John L Goats. in 1852 in Pope Co, Arkansas. Our family has always said John said she was part Indian, and we wondered where from, and who her family may have been, I have always wondered if Dicey was just a nickname and if that is why we could not find her family roots. I would love to talk to you more about this line. needing help here. She is my grt grt grandmother.
Deborah... email me at cinnamon2347(a)sbcglobal.net ..please
