I belibve you can see some info online that list the 2nd wife as Ainey. Check on the mrion County Arkansas sites, The Coker info. is listed there, wih the story of Joe Coker and his 2 wives, names included.
It was not uncommon for a man to be married to 2-5 Indian wives at once. This was allowed in Tribal marriage, it as a polgymsit society. The Indians had their own law, seperate from the white mans laws. However a man could not marry 2 women from the same clan., or from being to close a relative in his own line,. Esp. not from his mothers clan, as this was the clan he must claim. It was also a matrilineal society. You claim your lne from your mother, so ..This was forbiden. The story of Joe Coker, says he did exactly this, (2 woman same clan)and was almost killed for it.

Do u know the names of the 2 Native American Indians he was married to? My Step-grand mother Elizbeth Jowers married my Gr-grandfather, William Nathan Baldwin, and her twin brother, Jefferson Davis Jowers, married my Gr-Aunt Frances Fannie Patterson. They settled in South Ga. and died/buried there.
