I can't clear this up but I am very interested in your research. Samson Coker is one of my brick walls. Alexander Coker, his son is my husband's 2nd great grandfather. His wife Presilla is buried in San Antonio, not sure which city cemetery but I can find it again. I have a photo. Can't find where Samson's is buried unless next to her with no stone. Would love to know what you know LOL. Thanks Judy Hampton

I have tried to search for our Indian Heritage, but I guess I just don't know how. Aii I know is that my mother told that my father recieved a letter from Washington years ago that we were entitled to land in Oklahoma. Our house burned in 1945, so this and all old pictures were lost. Any information would be appreciated.

Please all that claim native American Coker's-- I am still trying to find myDicey/Dicy Coker b. 1833/34 in either tN or AR. No one sems to claim her in theer family. We do not know what ehr real naem was for sure, but some sugggest it may have been Licidia or Ladicia. No proof either way. My family was always told her husb got her straight of reservation lands. That she was Indian. But, we have tried for years to prove her and can not. The only record we have of her is her marriage to John L Goates in Pope Co, Ar in 1852. Whence she comes from we do not know? There are some speculations of who she may have desc . from in AR but, no proof. Se is neveer ona census with her husb. as she died before the next census, or was sid to hve died. No proof of death can be found either.

I would love to know your Coker family descendants.
We have a long history of a Coker MAN, I believe, who was set upon the S.E. Indians for blacksmithing and such.
This was in TN. There is a TN Coker and Coker Island.
I proved where the Coker man came from set upon the TN Indians for blacksmithing and wheelwriting, but I cannot locate the same and NEED HELP!.
Our Coker people are Alex, Alec, Alek, Alley.
Of course, the last name was Coker. Coker from 1830 forward is what we are researching.
If ANYONE has a thought and clue-please respond.
MVTO!
