Does anyone know where John V. Coker is buried? From Roswell GA died 1863 during Civil War, perhaps died on his way home from the war. He listed Villa Rica GA as his destination, but book on Carroll Co cemeteries does not show a grave for him. His brother Alvin Sherwood Coker is buried at Antioch Church Cemetery on Roswell Rd between Marietta and Roswell. A. S. Coker served with John in Company M, Phillips Legion CSA.

When and where was this?
I moved and don't have my things handy, but my grandfather was an orphan early 1900s in Kentucky. He was probably about 12 when it happened and he went to live with an older sibling for a few years. There were younger siblings who were adopted by other families and the name "Edie" and Dean seem familiar to me. Like in the poster that this in reply to, my father remembers going to a funeral (or reunion) and meeting the adopted uncles (at least) when he was a small child.

When was this? My dad (72) has been looking for his father's younger
siblings who were adopted out and the name sounds familiar. They were
from Kentucky.

Could you tell me more of the line on this line of Cokers. I am most interested in the Lee side of the line too. I am told the Lee's had Indian Heritage. I was recently told that this Dicey is indeed our Dicey and she died in childbirth after our 3 children we had already listed, we did not know there had been another pregnancy. I wish we could find when she died and where she is buried. Did her family bury her, because her husbands family does not seem to know where she was buried at all, so this is possible.
