hello
I have an ancestor who was of the family Fontain who I understand fled the revolution in France somewhere between 1780 and 1800 settling in Lincolnshire, England. It is quite possible that there is a connection here. I have a man, Rich Fountain Mastin who may be the connection. The family Mastin is traceable to the present day.
I this of any interest?

I am a descendant of William Coker brother to your Charles. I would be interested in learning more about your Charles and his family, as the records from this era are a little sketchy. I do not know the father of William, Charles and Joseph but other family researchers guess the name is Charles born in Somersetshire England, somewhere near East and West Coker. I have, as yet, seen no good records linking Charles William and Joseph or naming their father.
If it helps my research indicates that William b abt 1740 d 1860, Knox County Tennessee. Prior to migrating to Tennessee William lived in Davidson County, North Carolina. I only know three of Williams children: Charles b1775 NC, Joel, and John b1803. John is believed to be the youngest, his mother being Mary.
Although, this is not directly related to your question I hope it helps.

Hello,
I am a niece of Linda Coker Schrader, she and my father William Kelmer "Bud" are COKER s. Children of William Lee Coker "Bill" and Edna Marie Young. William Lee Coker was born 1910 Jeffersonville, IN. died 1995 in Scottsbirg, IN. Married Edna Marie Young abt 1941 in KY, (although, I do not know why they married in KY), and we have not found any marriage records for them, but they are listed on children's birth certificates, and each other's death certificates. Edna "Marie" Young Coker was born 1914 in Underwood, IN died 1990 living in Uniontown, In. She was the daughter of Demasker "Mack" Anderson Young and Lillie Mae Brown, of Retreat, IN. Bill and Marie Coker had the following children : Elmo Lee "Sonny", Wilma Jean, Linda Bell, William Kelmer "Bud", and a step daughter Marion Lou Young, married William "Bill" Toppee. We have a lot of information and descendants on this line of Cokers, tracing them back to England. But our furthest and most "documented Coker" is Rev. Brumb!
