I am a decendent from Cokers in Nowata OK. My grandmother down the line was
Rebecca Coker Daniel. She and her husband William are buried at the Coker
cemetery in Nowata County. I was born in Nowata and did not know about this
cemetery until 2 years ago. Rebecca's daughter Missouri Ann, her daughter Lydia
Ball, Lydia's daughter Marie Mauk (Marie was my mother) are all buried in
the Ball Cemetery in Nowata Co. Could your Minnie be from my line? I have been
to Nowata trying to fine some of my Coker kin and hit brick walls. Woul like
to hear from you. Pat

Forum Members,
As you probably know, Rootsweb recently changed the software used to manage
Forum email distribution. Several people have reported they've had problems
posting or receiving emails since the changes.
I've recently returned from traveling in Europe and am just now reviewing
these reported problems. I'm not sure why, but it seems that some forum
emails were bounced rather than distributed to the mailing list.
If you've posted a messages in the last few months, and are not sure that it
was distributed, then please browse the Forum archives to see if your
message is in the archives. If it is in the online archives, then it was
distributed. If it isn't in the archives, then please resend it to the
forum.
If you need a copy of a message you sent that did not get distributed, let
me know. Rejected messages are usually sent to me and I may be able to find
a copy for you if it bounced.

Please tell WHERE these Cokers were located. I am particularly interested
in the name "Seaborn." My 3rd great-grandparents, Hiram Coker and Elizabeth
Whitten, who married in 1829 in Walton Co., GA, named their 2nd son Seaborn,
who was born about 1834 in Muscogee Co., GA.
I have found a Seaborn Coker who was living in Arkansas in the 1860s.
Seaborn seems such an unusual name, I am surprised seeing so many Cokers
with it. Could there have been a family connection?

After I wrote this, I looked up in the subject line and saw "Hall Co., TX."
Were they in Georgia prior to moving to Texas?

I have Nancy A. King married to George washington Coker but his bio's are different. What are the childtren's name and what was george 1st wife's name?
Hello,
My cousin many years ago ordered copies of the wills for Joseph Coker and
Drury Coker. The will of Joseph Coker that she received is a poorly typed
copy. The will of Drury Coker seems to be a clerk's copy but does appear to
have the original signature of Drury .
Does anyone have a different copy of the will for Joseph Coker? This is the
Joseph married to Mary. There is a Joseph married to a Nelly with a daughter
Elizabeth. He probably died prior to the creation of Laurens Co. and may
have a will or estate records elsewhere in the 96th District.
Does anyone have a copy of the entire estate packet for Joseph Coker and
Drury Coker?
There is a place on Rootsweb to share images on the Coker family. Where is
it? Is anyone willing to share their images of documents?
Kindest regards,
Beth G.
Dwight:
I have not been having any problem receiving postings. I show 25 received in
August but the last one was on 8/14.
My cousin Steve has not mentioned any problems with the list.
I agree with Bob.
Just a slow period.

I forwarded this to see if any messages are gettoing through???
Hi Dwight,
Is the Coker Mailing list working for you on Rootsweb? There has been one message posted, last time I checked, in September by me. However I did not receive my own post.
Tried mailing the address for the list admin. but no response. I also emailed Stephen Coker at another email address that I had, think it is correct and no response. How can we get our list working again?
I also subscribed to the RootsWeb new list regarding same and was advised to resubscribe and contact admin.
Resubscribing worked on another list; but no response on my attempt to resubscribe to the Coker list.
