Isom, Jr. was my husband's father. I believe Isom Sr. and Cora George got married in Carroll Co. KY. All names you mentioned, Isom, Sr, Norman, Frank, Edward, Josie and Isom Jr. and mentioned in 1930 Milton Twp, IN census. Milton Twp. includes Brooksburg, IN, which is a few miles from Madison, IN. A puzzle which I have not had time to check out. In the 1920 census, there are two names and the ages appear to be the same, but the copy is not very good. Either there was a twin who died before the 1930 census or a cleaner copy will clear up the mystery. Frank Coker died of a heart attack he suffered at work (Joyce Shoe Factory) in Vevay, IN in 1976. My husband thinks Frank was married more than once, but is not sure. Isom, Jr. was married twice. The second time to my husband's mother, Alma Jean Kinman. They married June 16, 1949. Their first child, Robert, died right after birth or was stillborn. Their second child, Barbara Jean was born August 16, 1952. She is bur!
ied in the southwest corner of Sprindale cemetery in Madison, IN. Her grave is hard to find unless you know where it is. She had brain tumors and died in 1971. Their third child is Carolyn Jane, born July July 23, 1952 and she married Danny Ray Callis on June 16, 1971 or 1972. They have three children, Elisha Marie, Dawn Renee and Danny Ray. Carolyn has been operated on several times for aneuryms on her brain. Their fourth child is my husband, Kenneth Roy, born Dec. 03, 1956. We were married July 27, 1975 and have three sons: Robert Isom, Kenneth Roy, Jr. and Jack Wayne. I can send you info on the grandkids if you want. Their fifth child is Steven Wayne. He married Dawn Kimberly on November 18, 1979. (I think it was 1979). Barbara was never married, Carolyn and Kenny were married in Madison, and Steve was married at Ryker's Ridge church, which is near Madison. Josie married an Aldridge, but I am not sure what is name was. Oddly, Josie and Isom died of the sam!
e cause-a massive infection that caused massive damage to their main o
rgans. Isom's wife is always called Jean and she died Dec. 24, 1979; she had a cerebral hemorrage. I have not been able to work on the family tree as much as I would wish, but there are some George families in Kentucky who were Indians. Isom Sr. was supposed to be Irish-German and his wife was supposed to be Cherokee Indian. I know this is a lot of info, but you can pick whatever you need.

Reference your query about the book "The Coker Kin". I was recently in Frankfort, Kentucky to check out their fantastic genealogy section and their was a book about Cokers there. I'm sorry; I don't remember the title, but if you you E-Mail the library, they may look up the publisher, etc. and get you the info you need. Good luck!

Can you send me what you have on the Coker Family?
Have you been able to get past Valentine Coker b: 1805 in NC, and his wife Parthena, b: ABT 1803, and is it possible that she was Cherokee Indiana?
Do you have the family of Valentine Coker on down to present day? that you can send to me?

Hello,
I am trying to find my great aunt and uncle, Harry and Goldia Coker. In 1930 they were living in Bartonsville, Peoria, Illinois. Harry was 30 born KY and Goldia was 28 born ILL. I found them through military records for her brother, Grover Edgar Trayer. He listed his sister as Goldia Coker of Bartonville, Illinois at 612 McKinley St. I would really like anyone who is connected with the family to contact me.
Thank You
