Not wanting to heat the fire under this discussion again... <g> however I
have found some census records that I want to share and to see if anyone
has these folks in their lines. (Hope! Hope! Hope!)
In the 1850 census of Cobb County Georgia, the Lost District (possibly Lost
Mountain) there are two COKER families.

Believe this last family to be my wife's line. Her great grandmother was
Mary Georgianna COKER. Do know that there was a sister named Iantha.
Also in the 1850 census of Cobb County GA, the following family

I have some 1870 census for Cobb County that has some COKER lines. I am
unable to put my hands on them at the moment. I have them in my 'STUFF'
pile. (Stay There Until Filed Further) <g>
Can anyone shed light on these people? Is this the same Jacob F COKER who
married Elizabeth NEESE in Franklin County. The marriage date and the birth
of their first child is close.
Do not want to tie to the wrong ancestor here... <gbg> just feel from all
the family lore that this Jacob COKER line is my wife's. Also how do these
others fit in?
Any and all help appreciated.

Surname: COKER, LOUT, ADAMS, BOOKOUT
-------------------------
Jennie COKER was b abt 1849. She married Frank LOUT and one of their children
was Mary Frances LOUT, born Jan 1882 in Shelby County TX. Mary married
John R. ADAMS and their daughter Jimmie Lillian ADAMS was born April 1907.
Jimmie married Thomas William BOOKOUT in Shelby Co in 1926. They are my
husband's grandparents. Jennie COKER was supposedly of Indian ancestry-but
what tribe? Who were her parents? Is there anyone else researching the
COKER name in East TX?
