MILLER, GLENNA MAE "GeeGee" Lansing Our loving
mother grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend went
peacefully to be with our Lord in the early morning of
December 10, 2001. Glenna retired in the late 1980's as
a medical secretary after 42 years of service. Glenna
faithfully served her Lord and her church for over fifty
years. She taught Sunday School and was a lifetime
Deaconess at South Baptist Church. Glenna was
preceded in death by her husband, Hal "Jack" Miller;
daughter, Patsy Ann Miller; and brother, Calvin Coil.
Glenna is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Terry) Corts;
sons, Tim and Tom Miller; 4 grandchildren, Joanne (Sam)
Shaw, Andrew (Torey) Griffith, Emily (Paul) Castle, and
Corey Hake; 4 great-grandchildren, Samuel and Maxwell
Shaw, and Dalton and Jacob Castle; lifelong best friends,
Wally and Esto Burger; brother, Bobby (Lydia) Coil;
sister, Betty (Pete) Koen; many relatives and
acquaintances. By the grace of God, Glenna touched
many people's lives and will be truly missed. Funeral
services will be held Thursday, December 13, 10 a.m.
at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900
E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing with the Rev. Don
Denyes, Sr. Pastor and the Rev. David D. Brooks,
Associate Pastor of South Baptist Church, officiating. The
family will receive friends at the Chapel Wednesday from
2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions
to South Baptist Church, 5250 Cornerstone Dr., Lansing,
MI 48917 or Heartland Hospice, 700 W. Ash, Mason, MI
48854 in memory of Glenna Miller.
