Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Carolyn Coile
UNION -- Carolyn Dyer Coile, 63, of 111 Brookside Drive
died Nov.
23, 2000, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Union, she was the daughter of Rosa Lee
Hyder Dyer of
Union and the late James V. Dyer. She was a member of
Putman Baptist
Church and was a graduate of Union High School and
Furman
University. She was a laboratory technician at Wallace
Thomson
Hospital.
Survivors in addition to her mother include one
daughter, Teresa Yount
of Chesnee; one son, Allen Coile of Union; one sister,
Hazel Crow of
Union; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
tonight at Holcombe
Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at
Putman Baptist
Church, conducted by the Rev. Donald Tillman. The body
will be placed
in the church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the church
cemetery.
The family is at the home of her son, 310 River Hills
Road, Union.

Sheryl Coil, 53, passed away on Sunday at a local
hospital after a brief illness. She was born on Dec. 10,
1946 in Albany.
She was self employed, working in residential care
for children with special needs for 20 years. She was a
member of Head Start, NCCO, EB Mommas and New Life
Tabernacle Church of Napa.
Sheryl enjoyed many things including; photography,
painting, ceramics, spinning and weaving, arts and
crafts and computers. She was also involved with
founding the support group EB Mommas and raised her
own sheep for the wool.
She is survived by her husband, Leland Coil of
American Canyon; daughters, Lelana Coil, Tamar Coil and
Brandi Coil, all of American Canyon; sons, Darwin
Coil, Robert Coil, Corey Coil and Alex Coil, all of
American Canyon; and five grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 7
p.m. at New Life Tabernacle Church with Rev. Clayton
Brown officiating. Inurnment will be private.
Memorial contributions can be made to E.B.M.R.F., 130
Sandrigham Road, Piedmont, Calif. 94611.

ETTA MAE HOLLAND
ENKA - Etta Mae Holland, 87, passed away Thursday, Nov.
2, 2000, in a local
nursing home following a period of declining health.
Mrs. Holland was a native of Lexington, Ga., but had
lived in the Asheville area
since 1932. She was the daughter of the late James D.
and Mattie Peterman
Coil. Her husband, Norman Holland, preceded her in
death.
Mrs. Holland is survived by her daughter, Elise Shumate
of Conyers, Ga.; four
grandchildren; a special niece, Mildred Kettle; as well
as numerous other nieces
and nephews.
The graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday
at Forest Lawn Memorial
Park with the Rev. Chris Bradford officiating. The
family will receive friends 30
minutes prior to the services at the funeral home.
Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Enka, is serving the family
of Mrs. Holland.
