MUSCATINE, Iowa - Lawrence K. Cole, 87, of 106 Dillaway St., died suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Unity Hospital.
Services will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 417 Green St. The Rev. Bernard Weir will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jamie Cole, Joshua Cole, Zachary Cole, Benjamin Cole, Chad Cole and Lance Cole. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, with a Rosary Prayer Service at
the funeral home.
Mr. Cole was born on Dec. 15, 1913, in Fairfax, the son of Arthur and Mae Valett Cole. He married Elizabeth Fletcher on June 2, 1941, in Davenport.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He worked as the Service Manager for Neu Oldsmobile in Rock Island for over 25 years retiring at age 62.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Cole of Muscatine; two sons, Dennis C. Cole and his wife, Grace, of Muscatine, and Jay Cole and his wife, Michelle, of Noblesville, Indiana; one daughter, Lisa McKee and her husband, Jay, of Muscatine; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Cole and his wife, Harriet, of Wilton, and L. C. Cole and his wife, Gladys, of Wilton; two sisters, Marguerite Leese of Davenport, and Lois Moldenschardt of Walcot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Charlotte Stein Cohn, 88, Muscatine, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.
Services were at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Charles Rubovitz will officiate. Pallbearers are Dusty Cohn, Jake Cohn, Mike Bush, Robert Leman, Alan Frankel and Matt Gomez. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Rosenberg and Jim Dorris. Burial will be at B'Nai Moses Cemetery.
Mrs. Cohn was born on Jan. 27, 1915, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Samuel and Sara Stein. She married Donald L. Cohn on Oct. 16, 1941, in Omaha, Neb. He preceded her in death in 1977.
She was a member of the Tri City Jewish Center. She volunteered at the Muscatine Salvation Army for more than 20 years. She owned and operated the Waistline Workshops during the 1970s in Muscatine.
Survivors include a son, Gary A. Cohn and wife Cathy of West Branch; a daughter, Carol Cohn of Muscatine; grandchildren, Matt, Sarah, Dusty, Jake, Matt, Cruz, Angel, Santana and Antwon; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Maurice Stein of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Max.
