In talking with relatives, I have learned that during the very early 1900's our family name possibly changed from Conn to Cohn. The reason I was given is that the mail was constanly getting mixed up because there were so many Conn's so some of the Conn's changed their name to Cohn. My ggrandfather is Volley Cohn (b.04-09-1892) and he was born in Adams Co, Ohio. I haven't been able to go back farther than him on my paternal side but I believe the name change happened during his youth. Any more info anyone might have would be very much appreciated.
