I have a black and white photo from the late 1800's to mid to late 1900's that is identified as the Cogswell Family. It is of a man and wife and a small child (probably a boy) about age 3 to 4 .
There are no other identifying marks on it but the quotation " The Cogswell family a thing of beauty is a joy forever, so you have it with this" written on the back.
I found it in an antique shop in Portland, OR.
If you think it may be from someone in your family please contact me

Hi again, I have seen that someone has John being the son of William Morley. Please go to my tree
flammang/engel/morley and flammang/morley. Thomas Morley, born in 1769, england married Sarah Kinne(y) and they ended up in penn. (auburn) where he was buried in 1813. Sarah was pregnant with the last boy, ebenezer. William was one of their sons. There is a book about the area in penn. which states, specifically that John was the son of Thomas. All the other names in that line I am familiar with. I have corresponding with Mary Jo Haberkorn in the past. I am a descendant of William Morley, (1799) who married Jane Carroll, had Ambrose who married Cordelia Carroll, had Francis Morley who married Emily Smith, had Floyd Morley who had my grandmother, Dorothy Morley. I have many of the original deeds from the purchase of New Troy, Mi. properties. The family ran a mill there, and my own father worked in the mill for awhile after marrying my mother. I would like to know where the information about the families came from. I was hoping that someone in the Cogsw!
ell family could help me find John's mother. Hope to hear from you--- would like to help you straighten out the descendant line. It is always difficult-- everyone kept repeating names in the family. It took me a long time to straighten out for myself which son I had as a gggggg grandfather. I have also done my mother, sister and my own dna.
