I am searching for descendants of Ruth Cogswell born 1895 probably in Des Moines Co., Ia. She is the daughter of John and Martha Cogswell. They were in Des Moines Co., Ia 1900 and in Hemet, Ca. in 1910, 1920 and 1930. Martha died 1949 in Los Angeles per the California Death Index. It said Martha's mothers maiden name is Hasting.
Thank You for your help.

I am searching for the parents of Thomas Cogswell sho married Sarah Thompson. We have a mess in our family records pertaining to two (2) Thomas Cogswells and two (2) Sarah Thompsons ie: John Thompson Bible lists among his children, Sarah Thompson b. 31 Jan 1804 m. Thomas Cogswell on 8 March 1827 and she is listed as dying 31 May 1827. In the book Cogswells in America by Helen Trostel, has Thomas R. Cogswell b. 1837 m. Sarah Thompson 23 Aug 1860 (listed in Ill. marriages). This Thomas R. Cogswell is son of Richard H. Cogswell and Isabel B. Reese and Sarah is the dau of Thomas M. Thompson b. 1808 who is son of John Thompson above making Sarah b. 1804 aunt to Sarah b. 1836. Is it possible that these two (2) Sarah's both married a Thomas Cogswell? John was in Fayette Co. Ind in the 1820's and Connersville, Ind. in 1830's and then to Jefferson Co., Ia. in mid 1840's til his death 1862.
Can you clear up this mystery for me? Thank You.

How far do you go back before William? Do you have those pages? I have
the book, which I traded for a few years ago. The historian I
mentioned (Don Cogswell) has update the book with a new version in 1996.
