Brent has given you what we have on Cynthia, other than educated guesses. I do have a picture of Cynthia.
What information do you have on the Cogswell line, and where do you fit in? I have managed to correct some of the errors in the Jamison book, and lived in the area of Cynthia and Samuel Cogswell home. I have done a lot of research at the court house, newspapers, and historical society. Would love to hear what you have.

As recorded in the Luzerne County Federalist newspaper of 19-Nov-1803, the marriage of Samuel COGSWELL and Cynthia HEWITT took place 6-Nov-1803 in Wyalusing, Luzerne Co, PA. At that time several of Samuel’s brothers lived near while Hewitt families in Luzerne Co at that time included Jedediah & Jerusha HEWITT, formerly of Norwich, New London Co., CT. Luzerne Co. county histories state that they had one son, Jedediah Jr, and five daughters, several of whom were not known by name. So far no CT birth records have been found for children of Jedediah & Jerusha.
Several years ago members from the Wyoming County Historical Society (PA) reported they had found a Hewitt family bible which listed the children of Jedediah and Jerusha HEWITT and included Cynthia, born 26-Jun-1782 (yes 26th not 20th as in the Jameson genealogy).
I have not been able to get a copy of the family sheets from the bible for confirmation but the Norwich origin for Cynthia HEWITT is the most likely theory that I’ve seen.

Hello,
I noticed your reply that you have a lot of information on the Cogswell
family. Do you have any information relating to a Priscillah Cogswell who
married Laurence Long approximately 1772 in Culpeper County, Virginia? Or
information on any Cogswells in Virginia? Priscillah was my 4th gt
grandmother and I cannot find any information about her or any Cogswells in
that area.
Thank you so much!!
Chris
