Hi, Dee -
We have found marriage records in Wyalusing, PA for Samuel and Cynthia Hewitt Cogswell - also, from land records, we believe that Samuel and Cynthia remained in Susquehanna/Luzerne co., PA from at least 1800 until the move to Warren, PA. Although I am still searching for birth records, I believe that the children listed as born in New MIlford, CT were actually born in Bridgewater, PA. There is also indication from historical records (area histories), and land records, that Samuel Cogswell moved to the NE area of PA with a sister Anna and her husband Stephen Wilson.
I have also done research on the children of Edward and Jane Owen Cogswell. The traditionally accepted records seem to be somewhat in error. When tracing Ruth Cogswell and Zina Beeman, they appear to be of a different generation - working with several other researchers, we believe that the daughter born in 1775 was actually Anna, who married Stephen Wilson. It is also possible, from records that the Wilson family has, that Jane Owen was in the household of Stephen Wilson, in PA following the death of Edward.
I realize that this goes back a generation from what was being discussed here, but thought it might be an appropriate place to mention what some of us have been able to find.

Thank you for the information. I had also received data from Cindi Bigelow and this jibes with that.
