Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Retired Fruit Grower Passes
PORT WILLIAMS, Dec. 16 -- Leonard N. Cogswell, 90-year-old veteran retired
fruit grower of Belcher Street, and long one of the outstanding figures in
the community life of this area, died at his home last nght.
Mr. Cogswell was a past director and manager of the Port Williams Fruit
Company and was an elder of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Kentville, prior
to the union of the Presbyterian and Methodist churches in Kentville, into
the United Church. He was also an elder of the new church for some years.
Mr. Cogswell was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joel Cogswell, Belcher
Street, and had lived all his life in this commmunity.
He was a member of the Nova Scotia Fruit Growers' Association for 65
years, and was known as a progressive grower and farmer.
His wife, who predeceased him two years ago, was the former Mary
McKittrick. Surviving is one son, Fred N. Cogswell, on the homestead; one
brother, Dr. Furlong Cogswell, in Montana; and one sister, Mrs. Alice
Hilton, Plymouth, Mass.
Funeral services to be conducted by Rev. E. L. Curry, pastor of Kentville
United Church, will be ________________ Belcher__________after-____
Interment will be in the _______plot, Chipman Corner.
