I am trying to identify the wife of Thomas VARNEY of Ipswich, MA. He was
born in 1682 and had a first wife named Abigail. I recently found a
suggestion that his wife was Abigail COGSWELL. I believe this candidate
Abigail's ascent to be: Abigail4, Adam3, William2, and John1.
I've found no evidence to support this suggestion, so I'm hoping someone
familiar with this line, and with Abigail, can help me verify or discredit
this idea. This Abigail was born in Ipswich in 1689, so she is in the right
place at the right time. Does anyone know what happened to her? Did she
marry Thomas VARNEY or someone else? When did she die?
I would love to hear from anyone who can shed light on this.
Thanks,
Gordon Kirkemo
I am looking for information on two of the children of Martha Cogswell
and Moses Averill.. Currence who was born in 1770 and Amy who was born
in 1763.
Any information would be appreciated.
I am looking for a few Cogswells!!!
Here is some of my info.
Joseph Cogswell, William's Father, I have been told he was a Mason. Don't know if maybe name or affiliation.
William Cogswell, b. 12/25/1793 in KY, d. 12/23/1866 in Jackson Co. MO.
m. in 1815 to Fanny Ann (aka possibly Fancy Henderson, if that info is correct they married in Harrison County KY) b. 1793 in KY, d. 8/15/1858 in Jackson County, MO.
Children:
Celia F. b. 1/26/1820
Nancy J. b. 8/2/1823
Fanny A.D. b. 4/5/1826
Joseph Walker b.12/6/1816
Possibly:
James M. b. 7/1/1821
and there may be more children quite a span from 1816 to 1820.
If you can add or know about any of these people, let me know. I will be happy to share!
Thanks,
Kelly Warren
