Steve-- Thank you so much for this much needed info. This is my husband's
family; he has almost all New England ancestry. This has been a dead end
line for abt 15 yrs. I'll give you the info on his line. We aren't into
joining the association, but will freely share what we have.
Starting with Jim's 2nd great grandparents:

3. John Palmer Hanchett b 28 Aug 1764, Salisbury, Litchfield, CT, m 14 Jan
1788, Sylphina Hamblin, b 1766, Sharon, Litchfield, CT. She d 10 Apr 1800,
New Haven, Addison, VT.
4. Sylphina's parents were Captain Nathaniel Hamblin b 7 Jan 1739, Agawam,
Plymouth, MA; m Lucy Foster b 14 Sep 1740, Lebanon, New London, CT. She was
born 14 Sep 1740, Lebanon, New London, CT, d 5 Jan 1785 of Smallpox.
5. Lucy Foster's parents were David Foster b abt 1711, Lebanon, New London,
CT, and Althea Cogswell b abt 1715, Lebanon, New London, CT. They were m 23
Mar 1731, Lebanon, New London, CT.
6. Althea's parents were Samuel Cogswell b 3 Aug 1677, Saybrook, CT, and
Anne Mason or poss Abigail ?.
Children of David Foster and Althea Cogswell: (Not in order)

Elijah b 26 Feb 1735, " " . m Deborah Holley b 1736, d 1787,
