Subject: Re: [COGHLAN] Mary Coghlan in Galway
Hi Margaret
Do you have dates my coghlans were Thomas Coghlan born 1834 married
Bridget Curley born 1836 emigrated in 1867 to New York I have no record
of Thomas having brothers or sisters but he must have. They came from
East Galway, parish of Clontuskert. The godparents of their children
show a Mary Coghlan as godmother. I can assume but have no facts that
she was Thomas sister, the baptism was November 17, 1866. Would be
very interesting if your records could tie Mary to Thomas

can anyone help decipher this location for Mary Coghlan, probably East Galway? Her marriage record says she was from what looks like "Abigail" or "Abigaib" County Galway. She married a Finucane, then emigrated to Australia.
Thanks,
Margaret
