Hi Ann Marie and All:
I am still brick-walled at my BERNARD JAMES COGHLIN, b. Sept.1836, Ireland. He married Lucy Alice PALIN, 1868 at W. Derby, Lanc. Shortly after 1869, they emigrated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Three children were born in Montreal, Canda: Mabel N. in 1871; Bernard William (Willy) in 1874; and Gerald J.R. in 1877.
In 1871, Bernard Coghlin's name is listed in the "Lovell's Province Of Quebec Directory for 1871, Montreal." His listing reads as follows:
"Coghlin, B.J., Importer of steel, Iron, &c., - 5 St. Sacrament, h(home) 268 Dorchester." (Montreal)
Bernard COGHLIN d. abt 1902, Montreal, Canada.
Anyone with a 'suggestion of a connection', or more on this family's descendents would be happily welcomed.
HAPPY HUNTING IN NEW YEAR'S 2005 TO ALL!
...Ann PALIN, Ontario, Canada

I'm still researching Co[u]ghlan in Cork City, Eire, before 1930.
Charles, Francis and Robert are the family first names. Please note that I now have a different email address.
Thank you Ann Marie
I only know that my great grand uncle, Benjamin Franklin Coghlan, migrated
from Pike county to North MS circa 1900. He had a total of 29 children by three
wives. Will review my records and see if any names fit. good luck.
Charles Coghlan
