I believe William John Coghlan came from Ottawa around 1908. I believe he went to South Dakota where he met my grandmother Theodosia Ennis. I know from South Dakota they went to Iowa City before coming to St. Louis.

Do you have any further info on their parents? It is just too co-incidental considering the way they named children after relatives. My father was William James Coghlan and my uncle was Francis Austin. Do you know where "west" they went?

I have a William John Coghlan, son of Charles Coghlan and Marietta Cowan. He was born in 1973 and died in 1957. Is this fellow the one you are looking for. I also had Coghlan's from Ottawa. William Austin and Alonzo Coghlan who lived in Ottawa around 1900 and moved west around 1908.

I have no knowledge of a William Coghlin or Coghlan, from Ottawa. My lot are from Montreal: Mabel N; b.1871; Bernard W; b.1874; Gerald J.R; b.1877. They were children of Bernard and Lucy ALICE Palin COGHLIN.
Bernard and L. Alice had immigrated from the Liverpool, England area about 1870, and were living at 151 University Street, Montreal, on the 1901 census. Their three grown children were living with them at that time also. I have reason to believe that Bernard W. was referred to as "Willy" In 1901 he was listed as 27 years, on the census.
It is these three children that I am trying to track. They seem to have just evaporated into thin air! Does anyone have any clues? Any suggestions? ... I would be very appreciative to hear from you!

I'm not sure, all I know for sure is that he came from Otawa and his parents were not happy about it. He was married to my grandmother Theodosia Ennis and together they had 14 children. I have just started checking for more information recently.

Would this be the William John Coghlan, born 1876, son of Samuel James Coghlan and Jane (Jennie) Horan/Honan?
