I would like to make contact with any Coggins Family member who is into Geneology and would be related to the below listed individual that may still be or came from the Plainfield New Jersey area from the early to mid 1900's. If you recognize any of these names please contact me.
John T. Coggins Born: 27 July 1889 married to a McDonough ( First name unknown ). John came from Nashua, New Hampshire. His parents were James T. Coggins and Elizabeth Degnan. The Coggins line originates from Connecticut.
John became an Attorney and worked in the New York and NJ area. He attended Darthmouth College and later attended Harvard Law School and Fordham Law School then set up a practice in New York.
I show three children to John: John T. Cogtgins Jr born: 1924, Barbara Elizabeth Coggins born: 1920 and Marjorie Dean Coggins Born: in 1918.
My Family is related to Annie G. Coggins who was a sister to John T. Coggins. The other day we were cleaning out an area in a long forgotten shed and discovered an old Cedar Chest that contained several photo's of family members dating back to the early 1900's. We do not recognize many of these pictures however at least one has the name John T. Coggins also a book from Dartmouth College listing the songs of Dartmouth College signed by John. We believe some of these photo's may be of brothers and sisters to John and Annie but there is no one left here that can help us.
I can scan some of these photo's so they can be compared to any photo's family members may have from the past. Or any living family members may recognize.
If you are a family member.
Please contact me at: arc4651(a)aol.com
Thanks
A. Roland Caron
