I am actually trying to find my grandfather's Native American roots. His mother was Edna Coggin Davis of Wake Co and possibly Franklin Co NC. Her mother was Susan E. Coggin. I don't know her maiden name or Edna's father's name. My grandad had some distinct Native American features, copper colored skin and prominent cheek bones, and my mother remembers hearing of some Native Americans in our family. However, no one seems to remember any details.
I would love to hear what information you may have, and would be happy to share anything that I find.
