At the suggestion of a fellow "lister", I am sending this message in the hopes of finding out ANY information on our Coggin family relatives. All that I know is that my ggggrandmother is Catherine Coggin. She was married to one Patrick Houlihan and the only child I know of is my gggrandmother, Anna Mary Houlihan who was born on or about 1834. I'm told that the surname Coggin is not all that common and that the family or at least a segment of it emanates from Bantry in County Cork. I don't know if Catherine is from that area or not.Any advice or suggestions for further research would be appreciated.
