Unfortunately for you there is no personal information on this George in this book. Other listing in the book have fairly extensive info on their life (outside of genealogical concerns), but not this George. Save yourself a trip to the library. You will only get the names and information on his children, his 2 wives and his ancestors.

I write an on-going series on the Heroes of Pharmacy in the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association. I am trying to gather enough information to feature George Coggeshall for the November/December. He was a major factor in the passage of the 1848 Drug Import Act and the formation of the American Pharmaceutical (now Pharmacists) Association.I have been unable to find any personal information. (I can provide background information on the act and his role in APhA if you are interested and will provide an e-mail addrees.)
The Cincinnati Library has a copy of the book you cited and I will check that on Thursday. If you know of other career information I would appreciate having a copy/citation.
Thank you
Dennis

This is Sandy's husband, Pete.
The 1930 book The Coggeshalls in America has about a half page on this George Dilwin Coggeshall (pg 189), who was the 3rd son of Captain Caleb Coggeshall (pg 118). George died in E Orange, NJ on Nov 6, 1891 and was married twice (6 children with first wife and 2 with second). I can provide more, but don't know exactly what you want.
