Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi List,
I am afraid I must give up the list. If anyone out there is interested in
adopting it please contact me off list. I will be remaining on the list and
will help any new administrator all I can.
cheers
Gladys
Hi Ray,
My Coggons are also from Isle of Axholme although the Crowle area. This is
only a short distance from Haxey. We may well have some relatives in
common. I have quite a lot of information on the Coggon/Coggan families
other than my own relatives. If you let me have a few details of yours I
will try and help you.
It is not a very common name over here either. It seems to be in little
clutches, dotted about all over. I do not think many people are researching
it as we never seem to get any new members and I am sure we would if there
was a lot of interest.
Hope we can help each other.
cheers,
Gladys
I for one am curious as to how many on the list trace their Coggan line to
England and which part. Mine were from Linconshire, Isle of Axholme and
village of Haxey in particular.
Also can someone tell me how common the name is in England? I live in USA
and it is not a common name here at all.
Ray in St. Louis, Missouri

Hi List,
A Happy New Year to you all.
This is still a small list consisting of only 11 mail mode and 5 digest mode
subscribers. Not many of us and all as quiet as church mice. Could we get
2003 off to a good start and post a few of our interests? We may be able to
help each other and at the same time breathe some life into the list. If
people see that the archives are growing they may join us.
Hoping to hear from you all soon.
cheers,
Gladys
