I was told on Face Book the other day that my name was mentioned in a
book. This person said they went to the museum in Denver and in the gift
shop bought the book, *Here Lies Colorado, Fascinating Figures in Colorado
History*. The book was written by Richard E. Wood and was printed in
2005. That was 7 years ago and I am just finding out that my name was
used. On page 14 in the book it says, "Most of the people who made
Colorado what it is today are memoriallized by a physical marker, or at
least a location, marking their life and passing. Many are still
remembered and honored by later genearations of their family or friends.
Visit a cemetery and you will usually find visitors tidying up, placing
flowers, or perhaps bringing a small folding chair and just sitting in the
sun beside their friends or loved ones. Thinking, remembering, smiling,
weeping.
You may also find people like Gail Meyer Kilgore, a member of the Colorado
Tombstone Transcription Project. The goal of these "digital graveyard"
projects, which have counterparts across the world................
I just thought I would share this with you.
