That's one of the issues with local query pages. I have stopped using
them and archived any old queries without links. Instead of a query page
I point people to the mail lists and boards for the county.
Surname registry pages are another of my pet peeves. I put disclaimer at
the top of the page that many of the links will most likely not work and
if they try one that doesn't to please let me know so I can delete the
link. I have had some pretty good luck with that. People send me a
message about broken e-mail links and I delete them and send back a big
thank you. I've also seen an upswing in the number of people correcting
their address's. Save me from doing some grunt work. *<]:oD
