I agree, anytime someone wants to remove info., it raises a red flag.

No, it is not just you. It is me too. If you noticed, she asked if
information could be removed.
First, it is my understanding that if you are a society, the society
information has to be on an inside page and only on that page can they
advertise the society. Since we don't have any guidelines that require
information to be added to the site periodically, the society won't add
information because that is how they make their money and if she asked to
remove information off the site, that means "it is free" and they cannot
make money off the site if it is "free".
A genealolgy society has a rough go of it. With all the information being
put on paid sites and all the "free" sites, there is not a lot of
information left to sell.
My answer to this lady is no. And, to tell her to get their own site on
Rootsweb along with the other society sites that Rootsweb hosts.
I wanted to know if it was just me and my thoughts for turning her away.
