Hi Everyone!
Checking in early for November, as I have a week from hell of which four
more days are left. <G> My exhibit, Historical Mead: A Centennial, at the
Longmont Museum and Cultural Center opened last Sat, but we were not able
to
get everything in place, so finished the exhibit up yesterday. This coming
Sat. is the official open house/festival at the museum from 11 - 2 (just
in
case someone is in the area and wants to drop in, the museum is located at
400 Quail Rd, just off of South Main St.). We have several important
people
from the past and the present attending and of course at noon, we cut the
birthday cake and have a spell of speech-a-fying by the local dignitaries
and sponsors (yawn) plus at least six, very cute 3rd graders in historical
costumes with little talks of their own (more my level of entertainment -
hey, I'm a cheap date!).
The other news that I have is that Boulder County is adopted. The lucky
(in
my eyes anyway LOL!) new coordinators are Vicki Roberts and her husband
Edward "Sully" Sullivan. They currently live in St. Louis, but are moving
to
Boulder County sometime in the next year. We are having a bit of a delay
in
getting them the log on and passwords to the Rootsweb Boulder County site
(hey Sundee any movement yet? <G>), as they will need to move the site off
of my server to Rootsweb. They are on our CoGen list though, albeit still
in
hiding, so be sure and welcome them and don't be too scary. Even if it is
Halloween! Hehehehe!
Pauli - Weld and soon to be former coordinator of Boulder County.
