In case you hadn't noticed there have been some changes made by
Rootsweb/Ancestry in how the mail lists work. If you look at the
messages in your mail program you no longer see the senders name/address
in the "From" area. Same with the message headers.
I use Thunderbird for my e-mail. If the sender has their e-mail program
set to put in a "Reply to" back to you I will see that in the "Reply
to"
line of the header. Thunderbird gives me the option to reply to the mail
list which still works just fine.
Rootsweb Freepages, if you also have a personal site there, works
different yet. I still have the option to reply to the list but the "To"
box doesn't have anything in it. I have to type in the address manually.
I hope this behavior doesn't carry over to all the mail lists later.
I guess the upshot is if your replying to a message on a
Rootsweb/Ancestry until we get this new thing figured out make sure
who/where you are replying to before you hit the "Send" button.
