Subject: [COGEN] Early Checkin - Boulder and Weld
I'm here and updating all this weekend.
I am all for a required monthly check in. How else will Gail be able to know who has
abandoned their county/ies? People disappear all the time and never bother to let the SC
know. It happens all the time, especially in states that don't require a monthly check
in. There are even a couple states out there where both the SC and ASC have disappeared
and all but a handful of CCs are left still hanging around. With monthly check ins.
perhaps it would not have gone (in one case years) before someone finally questioned it.
I think the check ins should be monthly, not quarterly. Too much can happen between check
in's, especially if they are only down quarterly. I also think that if you miss three
months in a row, and don't respond to repeated requests from the SC and/or ASC's
that your county should be declared abandoned.
Just my two cents,
Pauli Smith
