Polly,
Google is great isn't it?
I'll do that Tutorials search and run thru it. I should have my product in two days as
the Amazon warehouse is just a few miles from my house.
All I need is the layering utility. I have a map with most cemeteries in NM so I'll do
that first. Then I'll do some AZ counties and Co Kit Carson. I do not have maps of
those however, so it will take some searching.
All is well,
Charles

Good luck with it. It was my first program that I used back in the early 90s. I loved it
and remember when they introduced layers in it. My son later got me Photoshop and I have
been using it since, but I still have fond memories of PaintShop Pro, and I know that it
is the program most used online to create web graphics. You should be able to Google in
PaintShop Pro Tutorials and pull up hundreds of tutorials for the program.

Pauli,
I just orderd Pro X for $18, last year's model. I do not need this year's $125
model for my use.

Charles,
PaintShop Pro is a good program that many call the poor man's Photoshop. I
haven't used it in years, but I know that it is still available (I think Corel now
owns it), and a lot of people swear by it. Layers are an important part of the program.
You might try checking it out. Also Photoshop Essentials is a less expensive and watered
down version of Photoshop that also uses layers. Both programs used to sell for under
$100, but I'm not sure of the actual prices.

Subject: [COGEN] Maps
Hello All,
I want to use a county outline map and place crosses on them to mark cemeteries. I
have a couple of images programs but they ar far to difficult to use to "layer"
text over image.
Does anyone know of an inexpensive, easy to use, layering image program?
(No, I do not want to use Google Map or any other copyrighted service.)
