Wasn't that the location of one of the mining strikes that turned deadly? I remember
how years ago when you first asked about this church, we had just driven by it on the way
home from Santa Fe and picked up a brochure about it. I had intended to post the
information, but on that trip, we were in an accident and my neck was broken. I totally
forgot about it. That was back in 2001. I wonder if I can find that brochure or if it is
lost to the ages now. I think I picked it up at that welcome to Colorado rest stop and
information center.

So I was doing some searching again on the little ghost town off I-25
past Trinidad. The one where I have the picture of the church.
And here is what I found. Thought I would share :)
What you were looking at was the ruins of a town called Morley and
the St Aloysius Catholic Church. It is on private land but a public
road gets you close. Last time I was there I got permission to enter
from the developer. It was a coal mining town that was in operation
into the 1950's. The town was built as a mining town and occupants
all had identical houses, company stores, and company scripts for
groceries and the like.
So now I know the name of the church that I have the picture of.
