Subject: [COGEN] Colorado Gravestone Photo Project
We have not been able to find a person or persons who have the time or
knowledge to sit for hours adding gravestone photos to the existing
project. It is a very time consuming job.
Because of this problem and also the problem of adding old photos to that
site we are working on having a new program developed so that photographs
can be added by the submitter and again, not by one person. It will
probably be sometime in the fall before this program gets developed.
In the mean time, Sundee and I have discussed the time that needs to be
involved in both of these projects and have decided to accept the Colorado
Gravestone Photo Project as a special project for Colorado.

If it is possible we would like to see each of the county coordinators
coordinate their own county/counties. This takes the load off of one person
doing all the approving of the submissions. If this adds extra work and you
have limited time, arrangements can be made to upload these photos
ourselves.
Colorado has 16,000 photos already added to this site. Elbert Co. is
leading in submissions with almost 3,000 entries.
If you get the new link added to your web sites we may generate more
submissions during the summer months.
Jim Davenport has been a huge submitter to this project and he just got back
from another trip and is adding all the new photos that he took.
If you are interested in coordinating your county/counties. please email me
off the list and we will get you set up.
Right now Sundee is a county coordinator, Pauli Driver Smith, Pam Richards,
Don Kelly, Greg Brown, Michael Irwin and myself are also county
coordinators.
Questions, we are here to answer them.. ;-))
Gail
