I don't believe you have to have a contract registered. If you put them in
they are called indentures but if you take them out and put them in a glass
of water by the bed at night then they are called outdentures.

Has anyone ever heard of indentured contracts in Colorado? If so,
where
would they have been filed? I have someone whose grandmother was
supposed to have been indentured to an uncle in Lincoln (Elbert) county
in the late 1880's. Indentures were legal papers filed, I suppose, at
the court house. I know about indentures but didn't know they were
around at that time. If they were, where would one look to find them?
Any help would be appreciated.
