I did my own check on Routt County. It was a disaster. It didn't really
take long to get the links fixed. On the downside some couldn't be
"fixed". They just had to be removed. They were all to stuff that was
there when I took on the county and the sites they led to were just
plain gone.
If your site has a lot of external links it's something you might want
to think about. The only material you can count on being there for any
length of time is what's on your own site.

http://validator.w3.org/checklink, Billie used another one and so did
Colleen.
At least this gives us an idea of where we stand, and believe me... my sites
need work too so you are not alone in this.
