Hi All,
Since our STATE is in such bad shape I want to extend the time to repair
your sites until the end of the year. I know that the holidays are coming
up but that will give you almost a month and a half before we start into the
holiday season.
The first of the year we will do reviews again and hope that we see a great
improvement.
One of the biggest areas that I saw a problem is the new links to the state
pages. That is a lot of the broken links plus old links to the USGenWeb
Archives.
Another place is the surname lists.. old outdated email addresses.
There is no requirement to have a surname list and those could be
eliminated. Those produced a lot of bad links.
Set up search engines, make links to the RW Boards and your mail lists.
Names of your Leadership Team... ASC's Colleen Pustola, Billie Erin Walsh
and Pauli Smith as your state webmistress.
The links to the state tables page was also another area where links were
broken.
Like I said, I am in this with you, I am not pointing the finger at no one.
I commented on a lot of the sites and sent the "Swept Logo" for your sites.
Everything is not negative. I am not a computer designer and I started out
not even knowing what HTML was.
So, please don't feel like you are all alone out there... you are not.
Gail
